Install Digg
One command in your terminal. Digg captures the AI-coding sessions you approve, strips secrets on your machine before anything is uploaded, and earns you AI Stocks for every session that enters the training corpus. Works with Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. No editor extension.
Install
curl -fsSL https://digg.sh/cli.sh | bash
Requires Node 18 or newer; Node 22+ also captures Cursor's in-editor chat. macOS and Linux. The installer verifies the download against a published checksum before putting anything on your PATH, and refuses to install on a mismatch.
Then, one command
digg
That is the whole setup. It does four things, in order:
- 1. Signs you in. It prints a link and a short confirm code. Open the link in your browser, check the code matches, and approve. That is what links this machine to your account. Equivalent command:
digg login. - 2. Connects this machine. Enrolls it for capture and records your consent. Equivalent command:
digg connect. - 3. Starts capturing in the background.
- 4. Registers the background service so capture resumes after a reboot, using launchd on macOS or systemd on Linux. No sudo, and
digg service uninstallremoves it completely.
No account yet? Create one before you approve the link. Then watch it fill up on your dashboard.
Check it worked
digg status
You want Signed in: yes, Connected: yes, and Capturing: yes. Note the command is digg with two g's — dig is a DNS tool that ships with macOS and Linux, so a typo answers with DNS records instead of an error.
Or let your coding agent install it
You already have an agent with a terminal. Paste this into Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor:
Read https://digg.sh/start.md and set me up on Digg.
It follows a procedure written for agents at digg.sh/start.md, which requires your explicit approval before enrolling this machine or uploading anything.

More detail in the setup guide, or run digg --help.
Previously Digg shipped a VS Code and Cursor extension. It is retired: the CLI captures the same sessions from the same tools, with one install path to keep secure and current. Existing extension installs keep working, but they will not be updated, so switch when convenient.
